Double bubble sign characteristic of duodenal atresia represents the dilated stomach and proximal duodenum and commonly associated with polyhydramnious. However, continutiy of the stomach with this cyst could not be demonstrated continuity assures that the cyst represents the dilated proximal duodenum and this is a 14 to 16 weeks fetus duodenal atresia is usually not diagnosed until after 25 weeks when the baby can actually swallow sufficient amount of amniotic fluid to dilate the bowel. This baby had also imperforate anus diagnosed after birth.
