A cystic hygroma is a fluid-filled sac that occurs when there is a blockage in the lymphatic system. They appear as single or multiple cysts and are usually found on the neck. In this fetus, the cystic hygroma almost turned into hydrops, excessive amount of fluid in the baby's body.
